Norway massacre survivor: Anders Behring Breivik should get full life sentence

“I have to get back to my daily life” he says, to be “isolated…
and sort of escaping from this circus which is going to be starting on
Monday for 10 weeks.”

But Langerod has struggled with the concepts of justice and revenge and a
lifetime of incarceration for Breivik, who admits killing 77 people in an
Oslo bomb attack and the Utoya shooting rampage which followed.

“I was really uncertain if I supported a life-long imprisonment,” he
said, before adding that his views on the issue have changed.

A full life sentence, rather than the maximum prison term of 21 years under
Norwegian law, is “the right thing to do”, he says, because “you
have to protect the society”.

It would be the only way that Mr Langerod “won’t run the risk of meeting
Anders Behring Breivik on the subway in 20 years”.

“That’s not an option for me,” he said.
