There will be no train service between Brisbane and the Gold Coast this weekend, thanks to track maintenance work.
Buses will replace trains from the first service on Saturday until the last on Sunday.
While trains will not run on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines between Dutton Park and Varsity Lakes, trains on the airport line will run as normal between Roma Street and Brisbane Airport.
Translink has advised commuters travelling from the Gold Coast to the airport and anyone planning to go to football games at the Gabba and Suncorp Stadium, or the Professional Bull Riders event at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, to allow extra travelling time for the bus transfers.
Normal train services will resume on Monday morning.
