The Queensland government has denied reports it’s considering allowing 1000 new poker machines in the state.
Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie says recent media reports on the issue are simply wrong.
“We’ve not had any discussions about increasing the number of poker machines across the state,” he told ABC Radio on Tuesday.
He said there was no proposal in front of him to increase machine numbers.
“It’s hard to consider it if there’s no proposal.”
