Queensland’s misconduct watchdog has found no cause to investigate authorities involved in the eviction of an Aboriginal tent embassy.
Indigenous activist Sam Watson lodged complaints with the Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC) after the May 16 eviction of the Musgrave Park protest site.
More than 200 police had moved the protesters from the South Brisbane park to make way for an annual Greek festival.
Protesters lodged complaints against Premier Campbell Newman, Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, Police Minister Jack Dempsey and Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson.
A CMC spokeswoman on Thursday confirmed the complaints had been assessed, and no evidence of official misconduct found.
No further action would be taken, she said.
