Nigel Farage Warns Of Armed British Revolution If Brexit Cancelled

Nigel Farage warns of armed revolution in case Brexit is cancelled

Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage has warned the British government that the people of Britain will rise up and lead an armed revolt if Brexit is cancelled.

In a powerful call to arms, Farage warned that he (and others) are fully prepared to “pick up a rifle and head to the front lines” if the UK fails to negotiate an adequate divorce from the corrupt European Union.

He warned that if Merkel gets her way and gives Britain a bad deal, “there will be widespread public anger in this country on a scale and in a way we have never seen before”.

Express.co.uk reports: He added: “If that happens, much as I’m enjoying myself… I enjoy my trips to the [United] States with [Donald] Trump and the White House and everything else. I’m enjoying my life.

“But if they don’t deliver this Brexit that I spent 25 years of my life working for, then I will be forced to don khaki, pick up a rifle and head for the front lines.”

Mr Farage’s comments said as part of an address to an audience at the Concord Club in Southampton and were filmed by Jason Hunt who shared the video on Facebook.

Mr Hunt commented: “That’s as close to threatening anarchy and incitement to riot that I think I’ve ever heard from a so-called politician.”

But a spokesman for Mr Farage told the Independent that taking his words “out of context” would be “unfair” and insisted the party was “opposed to any type of violence”.

Earlier the MEP for South East England warned Ukip supporters that Theresa May could soften her position in Brexit talks as he urged them to keep voting for his party.

He added: “The cat is out of the bag. She wants a big majority so she can soften the position in Brussels and we basically finish up being half in, half out.”

Speaking to the European Parliament on Wednesday, the former Ukip leader also declared that Britain would not be crushed by the Brussels bloc.

Mr Farage said: “We can spend two years with this farce, there is a big, big world out there and I am beginning to think that perhaps Mr [Yanis] Varoufakis is right when he says about negotiating with the EU it is a technocracy that is desperately clinging onto its own exorbitant and illegitimate power.

“You may have crushed Greek democracy two years ago, you ain’t gonna do it to us.”
