FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda We believe that the existing situation in Syria would only be resolved through national dialog within a peaceful framework, Mohammad Khazaei told the UN Security Council on Wednesday.
He voiced Iran’s support of UN and Arab League envoy Kofi Annan’s peace plan and expressed Tehran’s deep concern about the possible consequences of the violation of Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Khazaei criticized certain foreign countries for complicating the situation in Syria by sending arms and money to armed groups.
The Iranian official urged the regional countries to cooperate in the efforts to find a solution to the Syrian crisis so that the final result would benefit the Syrian people, the region and the international community.
Describing the situation in the Middle East as complicated, the Iranian envoy urged Western countries to revise their policies toward the Middle East, warning that any miscalculation or wrong decision would endanger the regional security.
