A MOTHER allegedly tried to strangle her son, threatened him with a knife and then stabbed his mate in NSW’s central west.
The 29-year old son and his mate, 35, went to the woman’s home in Waratah Street, Lithgow last night to pick up some belongings.
After a row erupted the mother, 48, tried to strangle her son before threatening him with a knife she had pulled from her jeans, police say.
The man’s mate intervened and was stabbed on his right arm.
He was taken to Lithgow Hospital.
The mum was arrested and charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.
She was bailed to appear at Lithgow Local Court on January 19.
