A mum and her two daughters were inside a home targeted in Sydney’s latest shooting.
At least two bullets were fired at their house in Larra Street, Yennora about 8.25pm (AEDT) on Thursday.
Police found two casings at the scene and said it appeared they did not penetrate the property’s wall.
The mum, 40, and her two daughters, aged 16 and nine, were unhurt.
It’s the fifth shooting incident in Sydney since Monday and came just hours after police declared war on the gangs they believe are behind the violence.
“It’s frustrating to us that some members of the community are involved and clearly know what has occurred but have chosen not to co-operate,” Assistant Commissioner Frank Mennilli said in a statement on Friday.
“They are not only letting their community down but in some cases committing a criminal offence.”
