Speaking on condition of anonymity, an Egyptian prison official said on Tuesday that doctors had operated a defibrillator and administered breathing aid to restart Mubarak’s heart, The Associated Press reported.
Mubarak has suffered from irregular heartbeat. Doctors have had to use a respirator several times since June 2 when he was sentenced to life in prison for the killing of nearly 900 pro-democracy protesters during the country’s revolution last year.
