Instead of playing football and preparing for his GCSEs, 15-year-old Moses Mathias was the target of a massive murder manhunt.

The youngest most wanted criminal in Britain he was being sought for the brutal killing of fellow schoolboy of Giuseppe Gregory, 16.

Though only a child, police named him and beamed a giant ‘electronic’ poster onto buildings in the city centre.

The first time a child had been named as murder suspect on a wanted poster, police also slapped a £15,000 bounty on his head.

Eventually he was caught in Amsterdam and brought back to face justice.

Yesterday he was facing up to life behind bars after he was jailed for a minimum of 18 years for the horrific killing.

Mathias, nicknamed ‘Crazy Boy,’ was due to sit his GCSEs when he shot dead Giuseppe Gregory in May 2009.

Gregory, who was also due to sit his GCSEs, was shot as he sat in a VW Golf in a bungled revenge attack for the death of another teenager.

Yesterday it emerged Mathias had idolized drug dealers and gangsters in Manchester and had been sucked into the underworld.

He wrote poems and rap lyrics idolising a gangland life and became ‘obsessed’ with guns and honour and respect.

Mathias
begged to be part of their notorious Gooch Close gang and even wrote
poems glorifying Errol ‘EJ’ Reynolds, now 23, a notorious hitman from
the gang who was jailed in 2007 for 30 years for murdering a man
associated with a rival gang.

One
hero worshipping lyric referring to a killing and subsequent news
coverage and jail terms read: ‘Kill one n****r man then be gone. I want
to get 21 like EJ. I on the news on BBC1. I can’t get 25,25,25. I think I
might die.

Heating up the streets. Upping the death toll.’ Mathias, a pupil at Trinity High School, Manchester, was trained up by the older gangsters, taught how to use a gun and became a hitman for the gang.

Giuseppe was murdered in revenge for the killing of his 16-year-old friend, Louis Brathwaite, who had been gunned down in 2008.

Just 11 days before Giuseppe’s killing, 18-year old Travis Bailey who had been suspected of Brathwaite’s murder was told by police no further action would be taken against him.

Brathwaite’s gang then laid a trap after being alerted to a tip off Bailey would attend a party at the Robin Hood pub in Stretford in a VW Golf.

The hitmen disguised in balaclavas were spotted ‘lurking’ in bushes in the car park before two of them rushed up to the VW and opened fire with a Russian made Tokarev 9mm handgun.

Giuseppe, who attended Cedar Mount School in Manchester, was sitting in the back seat behind Bailey and was hit by mistake.

Mathias vanished after the killing and police issued a giant wanted picture of the fugitive teenager which was beamed onto buildings in Manchester.

But Mathias – who has distinctive gang style tattoos on his left arm – fled the UK and went on the run in Amsterdam.

He was arrested last June after a two year manhunt when border guards checked passports on a high speed train he had boarded for Germany.

At Manchester Crown Court Mathias, now 18, admitted murder and was ordered to serve a minimum of 18 years.

Passing sentence Judge Tim Holroyde told him: ”During the trial a disparaging picture was painted of young men involved in the wholly pointless nature of gang culture based on nothing more than the unfounded notion to claim as its own a certain small area of South Manchester.

‘The waste of young lives has been dreadful. I accept those growing up in in those areas are exposed to this life but there’s nothing I have here to suggest a compulsion to join that culture and those that have and do are volunteers.

‘You wholly embraced gang culture from an early age and as a 13 year old you claimed gang membership. You seem to glorify gang culture.’

Hiruy Zerihun , 18, was sentenced to a minimum of 23 years and Njabolu Ndlovu, 19, to 21 years after they were convicted of murder last year.

In a statement released after her son was killed Giuseppe’s mother Samantha Lewis, now 38, said: ‘Gun crime hurts so many people.’

18 years is not life. He should spend the rest of his life in prison to actually serve a life sentence unless, of course, they re-introduce the death penalty. Can’t think that anybody would be sad to see the back of this cretin. Another perfect advert for abortion.

And some idiots want the age of criminal responsibility raised to 16 or 18 years of age!

Yet another one to keep BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY

The Dutch made sure he was brought back to the UK – after all it would probably breach their own human rights to have scum like that walking their streets.

Dear Santa, Please give back to the U/K people their Death Penalty, so we can clear our prisons of murderer’s as a warning to people that would commit murder.
No long drawn out Appeals, guilty and death within 10 days or less.

I see he has a nice religious name. But no idea of what it means! Fancy being a killer at that young age. Dreadful. They should bring back conscription. If they want to be violent then send to Afghanistan and let them do it there.

Even after 18 years this feral person will be a danger to all normal people. He is a typical example of a lazy cowarly creep who can only express themselves with violence. Why, because they are bare literate, couldnt attract a partner because they are revolting and will never comprehentd the idea of working for a living. This monster is the perfect reason for the return of capital punishment. He killed because he hoped he was above the law. May he rot in gaol.

Hang him

Hhahahah! – And have a very merry christmass you sick animal

Suprise suprise another wannabe gangster. I wonder how long it will be until the middle classes are forced into gated communities?
