More nurses to stop work for four hours

Nurses from The Austin Hospital, Bendigo Hospital and the Monash Medical Centre will join other nurses from 8am on Monday in staging four hour stoppages.

Nurses from 12 Victorian hospitals are now engaged in rolling stoppages and more – at the rate of three a day – will join them.

Australian Nursing Federation (ANF) state secretary Lisa Fitzpatrick says Premier Ted Baillieu must end the dispute, now in its 110th day, when he returns from a trade visit to India.

The ANF wants a senior tribunal member from Fair Work Australia to resolve the dispute.
