Bill Barr Says Justice Department Hasn’t Enough Fraud Evidence To Change Presidential Election
Dec. 1, 2020 (EIRNS)—Attorney Sidney Powell was right last night when she said on the Fox News Nov. 30 Lou Dobbs show that it would be a good time to hose down the Justice Department and FBI “with Clorox and firehoses.” Attorney General Bill Barr’s comments today to Associated Press, that the DOJ hadn’t found enough evidence of fraud to change the outcome of the presidential election, would seem to make a good DOJ Clorox bath an urgent necessity.
Barr insisted that U.S. Attorneys and FBI agents have been hard at work following up complaints and other information they’ve received, but he explained, “to date we have not seen fraud on a scale that would have affected a different outcome in the election.” Barr implicitly refuted Sidney Powell’s claims that voting machines had been rigged, when he said that “there’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud, and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results. And the DHS and DOJ have looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that.” He complained that people somehow think that the DOJ is a “default fix-all” when what they should be doing is going to their state and local officials with their complaints.
The President’s attorney Rudy Giuliani immediately issued a statement responding to Barr’s claims about a serious DOJ investigation of fraud claims, shooting back “with all due respect to the Attorney General, there hasn’t been any semblance” of an investigation. “We have many witnesses swearing under oath they saw crimes being committed in connection with voter fraud. As far as we know, not a single one has been interviewed by the DOJ. The Justice Department also hasn’t audited any voting machines or used their subpoena powers to determine the truth,” he said.
