A MAN died after his ride-on lawnmower rolled over into the water and drowned him.
Investigators said the 67-year-old man, named as Cliff Jones, was found about 10.30am yesterday after his family contacted emergency services when he failed to return home from work on Tuesday night.
He had been working at Ocean Shores on the far north coast.
His body was found in a dam adjoining a golf course. It is believed the man was pinned beneath the ride-on lawnmower when it rolled over into the water.

Police from the Tweed Byron local area command secured a crime scene, which has been examined by police forensics officers.An autopsy will be conducted in coming days to determine the cause of death, although it was not being treated as suspicious.
