Appearing on NBC’s Today show, Ahn, who was Miss Phoenix before becoming Miss
Seattle, added: “That day the weather was very cold, rainy, I mean,
what can you expect? It is Seattle. It was, like I said, wrong place, wrong
time. I just did not think before I acted,” she told NBC’s Today show.
“I did not mean directly the people in Seattle. I think I just meant the
people in general. I mean, who isn’t annoyed by annoying people?” Asked
if she had come round to her new town, Ahn added: “So beautiful, the
summers are to die for.
“I really do love Seattle, it was just that particular day it happened to
be that I tweeted that unfortunate tweet and it fell into the wrong hands.”
The new Miss Seattle now goes on to the Miss Washington Pageant this summer.
