Mike Tindall has revealed he was wearing invisible braces when he married Zara Phillips.

The England and Gloucester rugby player has Invisalign braces which are so discreet that no-one noticed he was wearing them when he married in front of the Queen and other senior members of the Royal family in July.

He is getting the work done by Dr Graham Tinkler, a specialist in the treatment which attaches a brace to the back of the front teeth, slowly moving them one at a time.

Patients can wear the braces permanently for up to 15 months.

Tindall said as a child he had refused conventional braces, a decision which he regrets.

Endorsing the product on the company’s website he said, ‘Refusing braces to straighten my teeth as a child has been a big regret for me.

‘Then as a full time rugby player I knew traditional braces were not an option but Invisalign allows me to carry on playing sport and you won’t even see them in my wedding photos.’

The Duchess of Cambridge is believed to
have had a similar procedure done by French dentist Didier Fillion
before she married Prince William.

Other celebrities including Kelly Brook and Sadie Frost have also had work done by Fillion.

The decision to fix his teeth may come as a surprise because Tindall said that his mother-in-law the Princess Royal asked him to have plastic surgery on his nose.

He told producers at Sky during the filming of a sports quiz that Princess Anne was concerned how it might look in wedding pictures.

Tindall has had corrective surgery on his nose before but it ended in disaster when the two metal plates used to straighten it came out during a rugby game.

Leave him, his teeth and his nose alone.

His braces are the least of his problems…

I think Mike should leave his nose alone. It has character and it carries the pride of England on it’s bridge.
Think Mickey Skinner and Brian Moore Both carried knocks to their faces. Yet neither a prima donna to ‘fix’ the boat race. Both very successful and good guys. Thinking back to Carlings team, they had character, fun and teamship. Unfortunately for Mike Tindall, the powers that be won’t allow the players to have lives outside of the pitch. Huge fines for minor misdeameanors. Maybe the powers that be should be looking on the football pitch instead.
Rugby is a game where supporters can sit where they want without conflict!

Ive just finished having Invisalign treatment after three years. I was lucky enough to be given the treatment pro bono and I must say, it certainly makes it less awkward to smile because you haven’t got metal wires around your teeth. Yes, it’s pricey at about HK$50,000, but you actually forget that you are having treatment until you try to eat something. They’re also incredibly durable as well and ndont crack unless you take a sledgehammer. I do wish this treatment could be made available so more can afford because it makes a huge difference and brings straighten, ing to a new level. You still need a retainer at the end of treatment though.

Invisalign is actually a clear plastic retainer that you change every 2 weeks so it gradually shifts the teeth’s positions, Cheryl Cole has worn it amongst others. The traditional brace attached to the back of the teeth that you are describing is not called Invisalign.

What a nasty comment (“now he needs to fix his wonky nose”). Awful, low-brow “reporting”.

Another money making opportunity, endorsements of something else.
