FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Metronode’s new datacentre in Victoria will boost the state’s economy and create new jobs in the ICT sector, according to technology minister Gordon Rich-Phillips.
He attended the launch of Metronode’s M2 datacentre in Derrimut today. The facility cost AU$150 million to build and boasts highly energy-efficient features, such as free air cooling. It covers more than 25,000 square metres, and can be scaled to support up to 12 megawatts of IT load, with more than 3000 equipment racks.
M2 is targeted at large carriers and enterprise and government customers.
According to Rich-Phillips, the construction of the datacentre created more than 200 new jobs. He is confident that M2 will continue to bring “highly skilled Metronode jobs and support hundreds of new spill-over ICT jobs in Victoria”.
“Metronode’s investment strengthens Melbourne’s reputation as a leader in information and communication technology and cloud computing, and will allow tenants to provide quality secure solutions for Victorian customers,” Rich-Phillips said in a statement.
The Victorian Government has invested AU$85 million to stimulate ICT growth in the state.
Metronode is a subsidiary of Leighton Contractors.
