A man has been stabbed in Melbourne in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Ambulance Victoria says paramedics were called to a car park at a block of flats in the inner suburb of St Kilda just before two o’clock and found the man with stab wounds in his upper body.
“The main wound included damage to an artery so there was significant bleeding,” intensive care paramedic Timothy Sandford said.
“We controlled the bleeding and he was taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.”
