A driver has been hospitalised after jumping from a moving four-wheel-drive and being hit by a pursuing police car in Sydney’s west.
Police say they followed the Range Rover after spotting it going through a stop sign in Auburn at around 11 o’clock (AEST) last night.
According to officers, the driver jumped from the car – leaving it to continue travelling before it slammed into a light pole.
Police say they slowed their car but were unable to avoid hitting the 24-year-old.
He has been taken to hospital with lacerations and bruising where he remains under observation.
