Man hospitalised after home invasion

Two armed and masked men have broken into a home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, injuring a man sleeping there.

The men broke into the Clovelly home about 8am (AEDT) on Tuesday, armed with a knife and a baseball bat.

They demanded cash from a 22-year-old man who was sleeping, before assaulting him with the bat.

They then threatened a 28-year-old man before fleeing with cash.

The younger man was taken to hospital with a head wound.

The first intruder is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, about 175 to 180cm tall, and of large build.

He was wearing a grey/blue jumper and dark pants.

The second man is also described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185 to 195cm tall with a large build.

Both men were seen leaving the area in a small, grey four wheel drive car with black and white number plates.
