A 21-year-old man who was stabbed at a Queensland service station has died.
Police say the man went to a Park Ridge service station, south of Brisbane, with his girlfriend and another person about 2am (AEST) on Wednesday but left in another car which arrived soon afterwards.
“An altercation took place down the road from the service station and as a consequence of that, the victim sustained some wounds,” Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson told ABC Radio.
“He was able to get himself back to the service station on foot but succumbed to those injuries and died.”
Det Hutchinson said police were interviewing a man who appeared to have been present at the time, but it was too early to speculate on motives.
Forensic officers remain at the scene and have located a knife believed to be the weapon involved.
