A man has died in a house fire in NSW’s central west.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in Lewis Street, Mudgee, about 6.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday.
The property was well alight and a man’s body was found inside.
An elderly woman escaped the home unharmed.
She was being comforted by friends and family on Wednesday night, police said.
The cause of the fire was being investigated.
