A MAN has died after he trapped his neck between fence posts when he fell while trying to climb a school fence in Melbourne’s southeast last night.
A passer-by found the man, aged between 25-30 years, trapped in the fence on Courtenay Ave, Cranbourne North, about 10.45pm, the Cranbourne Leader reports.
Police believe the man was trying to climb the fence, but slipped and his neck became stuck between two steel bars.
Paramedics were unable to revive the man and he died at the scene.
His death is not considered suspicious.
Police identified the man after initially seeking the public’s help to identify him with the help of several distinctive tattoos.
