Man dies after Mount Gambier crash

An elderly man critically injured in a car accident last month has become the 27th person to die on South Australian roads this year.

The 82-year-old man died in hospital on Saturday after the car he was a passenger in crashed into a tree at Mount Gambier on March 9.

The 74-year-old female driver survived the crash.

The man’s death takes the state’s road toll to 27, compared to 30 at the same time last year.
