A man will face court on a raft of charges after a motorist was shot at during a road rage incident on a Queensland motorway.
The incident ultimately sparked a police lockdown in the south Brisbane suburb of Algester, as officers looked for the gunman.
Police say a man pulled a gun on a stranger in another car in Southport on the Gold Coast about 9.20am (AEST) on Thursday.
He then followed the other driver along the M1 motorway before pulling up beside him and firing a shot.
Police found the offender’s black Audi abandoned at Algester, where people were warned to stay in their homes as the dog squad combed the area.
A man was later arrested at a Browns Plains pub.
He’s facing charges including burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and will face the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.
Police are still looking for a second man who was in the Audi.
