Police in Newfoundland are looking for suspects after a man who was abducted from a home in Conception Bay South was found dead just hours later.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says officers were called to a residence in the town’s Seal Cove neighbourhood at about 4 a.m. Saturday morning where a witness told them that a man had been violently dragged from the home by armed individuals wearing masks.

The house was engulfed in flames when police arrived.

About four hours later, police say they were called to a residence a few kilometres away in the town’s Kelligrews area where the abducted man’s body had been left lying face up in the home’s driveway.

The name of the deceased hasn’t been released, and there’s no word yet on the cause of death.

Police say they suspects they’re looking for are armed and dangerous, and they’re urging anyone who knows their whereabouts to contact them immediately.

Conception Bay South is a town of about 25,000 people located southwest of St. John’s on the southern shore of Conception Bay on the Avalon Peninsula.
