Majlis to sue nuclear expert killers

In a Saturday interview with Fars news agency, Allahyar Malekshahi pointed to the confessions made by Iran’s enemies about their plans to conduct terrorist activities aimed at halting Tehran’s nuclear energy program.

He noted that the Majlis has established a legal committee to counter the terrorist activities targeting Iran’s nuclear energy program and said, “The committee, which represents the Iranian nation, intends to take legal action against the terrorists with the international courts of law.”

The text of Iran’s complaint will be prepared in the near future and submitted to the international judicial authorities, Malekshahi added.

On June 28, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said all the Israeli-linked elements behind the assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists had been apprehended.

The announcement pointed out that the arrested individuals have also confessed to receiving all-out support from Western intelligence services, particularly the CIA and MI6.
In November 2011, some of the US presidential hopefuls called for conducting covert operations ranging from assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists to launching a military strike on Iran as well as sabotaging Tehran’s nuclear energy program.

In early July, the head of Britain’s secret intelligence agency, MI6, John Sawers, admitted the UK’s role in conducting covert operations against Iran’s nuclear energy program.

The United States, Israel, and some of their allies, accuse Iran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to develop and acquire the nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
