AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine residents are seeing some relief at the pump with gas dropping in price by nearly a nickel per gallon in the past week.
Price-monitoring website MaineGasPrices.com reports Monday that the average retail price in the state is down to $3.94 per gallon.
The national average fell just over four cents to $3.85 per gallon.
Still, gas in Maine costs more than eight cents more a gallon than a year ago and almost nine cents more than a month ago.
A company analyst says average gasoline prices nationally continue to slowly drop.
