Listen, Then Vote: Who Should Win a Grammy?

The 54th annual Grammy Awards ceremony is imminent, and the nominations are in.

This year, the Recording Academy continues to embrace digital and social technology, providing you ways to follow the activity leading up to and during the big night. Of course, we’ll all have to wait until Sunday night to find out who the winners are.

Prolific Tweeter Kanye West leads the way with seven nominations, but the major four categories (Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist) are dominated by Adele, Bruno Mars, and Bon Iver (3 out of 4 each).

Last year’s surprise winner was Arcade Fire, who won the Album of the Year award for its album The Suburbs, prompting the web to wonder just exactly who this mysterious Canadian indie band is.

This year could feature a similar shock should Bon Iver take home the grand prize. However, Adele’s 21 seems like a smart early bet, given that it was both a critical and commercial success. 21 spent 49 of 50 possible weeks in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 and topped many publications’ Best-Of-2011 lists.

Mashable will be liveblogging the ceremony this year, so to get you (and us) ready for the Grammys, we’ve created a Spotify playlist of all the pop songs that have been nominated, so that you can enjoy everything from Katy Perry to Megadeth to Blake Shelton, all in one place. Check out the playlist here, and then vote below to tell us who you think should win in each of the four major awards.

What song do you think the Recording Academy missed? Tell us what song you think should have been nominated and why, and we’ll create a playlist with the best submissions on Spotify.
