FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda “Removal of economic sanctions, including sanctions against banking and oil sectors, is one of the most important topics that will be raised in the next round of talks between Tehran and the P5+1,” Chairman of Iran’s Majlis (parliament) Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Sunday.
“Istanbul talks went well and perhaps it could be described as a step forward,” Boroujerdi said.
The Iranian lawmaker added that issues regarding Iran’s nuclear energy program was among the topics discussed between Tehran and the P5+1 representatives.
Boroujerdi said enrichment was important for Iran, adding that, “A country that has enrichment capability can naturally enrich (uranium) based on its needs and within the framework of peaceful objectives and under the supervision of the (International Atomic Energy) Agency.”
Boroujerdi said Iran conducted uranium enrichment to meet the country’s domestic requirements and the position expressed by EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton with respect to this issue was an “significant development.”
Iran and the P5+1 wrapped up their negotiations on Saturday in the Turkish city of Istanbul. Both sides of the talks have both hailed the Saturday talks as successful and constructive.
The next round of talks between the two parties is to be held on May 3 in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.
