(NaturalNews) The hard Left in America is so full of hypocrisy and contradictions that frankly, it’s getting difficult to keep track of all of them.
But perhaps a few of the most glaring hypocrisies and contradictions deal with the Left’s attitudes towards certain religions and sexual orientation. Like Christians vs. Muslims, and standing up for gay people.
With that in mind, it has never been the case that non-liberals “hate” gays or Muslims, despite the fact that they’re always accused of that, simply because they have a different opinion. And whether you agree with them or not, at least they are honest about how they feel.
Liberals, not so much.
Consider: Over the summer, liberals became apoplectic when they encountered someone who disagreed with the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states, especially if the dissenting voice was Christian. “Bigots!” the Left shouted. “Homophobes!” they charged. In fact, while there are some Americans who are bigots and homophobes, the very rational argument against the high court’s ruling was that the federal government does not have the authority, under the Constitution, to regulate marriage laws in all 50 states. It’s just not there – and no, the 14th Amendment’s “equal protection” clause, upon which a bare majority on the high court based their decision, does not suffice. Any serious reading of Article 1, Sect. 8, of the Constitution will reveal that Congress has no power to regulate marriage, and as such, reserves that power to states. So if the federal government has no authority to regulate marriage, what gives the Judicial Branch the authority to order states to honor certain types of marriage? The federal courts are not there to make law or implement policies and regulations, as any serious reading of Article III in the Constitution, which discusses the scope of authority of the Judicial Branch, will reveal.
But none of that mattered. Liberals wanted laws in states defining marriage a certain way – between a man and a woman only – overturned, so much so that the rule of law and the Constitution meant nothing to them. And apparently, so did a bare majority of the U.S. Supreme Court (which should never have taken the case in the first place).
So liberals are all-in for gay people, no matter what, right?
Now, in regards to the latest terrorist attack, which once again was directed at Americans by Islamic extremists, we have liberals all over the place smack-talking anyone who dares to even point out that the attackers were, in fact, radicalized Muslims, like all Jihadists are, and who have a hatred for “infidels” (which is all non-Muslims).
“That’s bigoted!” they holler. “That’s nativist!” they bellow. Liberals, you see, are much more compassionate than all the other knuckle-dragging Americans, and because of that “tolerance” they can see beyond the hatred, bigotry, nativism and, presumably, the gun smoke left in the wake of the San Bernardino shootings.
So, liberals are all-in for Muslims, no matter what, right? Even one of the nation’s top law enforcement liberals, Attorney General Loretta Lynch – who backed the high court’s gay marriage decision – is so all-in for Muslims that she has threatened to prosecute anyone she deems is spewing hateful, “violent” speech aimed at Muslims.
But what if, say, Muslims were guilty of hunting down gay people and murdering them just because they are gay? What would a liberal do?
Because that is happening, today, and everyday, in Muslim-dominated countries. As noted by Jihad Watch, the most violent of the current Muslim terrorist groups, ISIS, is even using social media to hunt down gay people so they can be killed.
And before you say, “Well, that’s just what the radical Muslims do!” – you should know that, no, it isn’t just something “radical” Muslims do – unless, of course, you are inferring that all Muslims are “radical” (which would be … bigoted – right?)
It applies to most African nations, too, for that matter. In fact, in many “moderate” Islamic and African nations, homosexuality is punishable by death.
Oh, and by the way, the last time I checked, Christians – most of whom tend to disagree with homosexuality based on their religious beliefs – sure don’t advocate the death penalty for gay couples.
So these obvious hypocrisies aside, the question must be asked: Do liberals really just hate traditional American values? Because that’s what it looks like.
