The teenager accused of a triple stabbing murder in a South Australian town has more time to consider his plea.
Jason Alexander Downie, 18, of Kapunda, north of Adelaide, was to have answered charges on Wednesday of murdering Andrew and Rose Rowe and their 16-year-old daughter Chantelle in November last year.
Relatives and friends of the three victims packed the Elizabeth Magistrates Court to hear what Downie said, but the moment did not come.
Instead the case was adjourned for six weeks to give his lawyers more time to go through new information.
Downie appeared relaxed in his brief appearance via video link from Adelaide Remand Centre.
He will be expected to enter a plea when his case returns to court in October.
