The venue of the meeting was in Pakistan’s southwestern town of Taftan near the Iranian border.
Jundallah terrorists have carried out deadly bombings and assassinations in Iran, including several attacks in Iran’s Sistan-and-Baluchestan Province, which borders Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The terrorist group is based on Pakistani soil and sponsored by the Saudi Arabian regime.
The Pakistani government has so far refused to provide any acceptable comment about the presence of the terrorist group in the country.
On February 23, 2010, Iranian intelligence forces arrested Jundallah leader Abdolmalek Rigi after making a plane carrying him from Dubai to Kyrgyzstan to land on Iranian soil. He was reportedly on his way to meet with senior American authorities at a major US base in Kazakhstan.
The terrorist ringleader was executed in June of the same year for 79 counts of crimes, including armed robbery, bombing operations and armed attacks on police officers as well as civilians.
Rigi stated in his confessions that he had dealings with the US government and was promised unlimited funds and resources for “waging an insurgency” inside Iran.
