Director-General of the Department of Palestinian Affairs in the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, Rafiq Kharfan, met with the Director of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Affairs in Jordan, Olaf Becker, in Amman yesterday. The officials discussed several issues related to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, including the healthcare system, education sector, relief services, salaries, workers among other matters. Kharfan also discussed the negative consequences of the financial crisis on the Palestinian refugees in Jordan, as well as the services offered to them. Jordan hosts 13 camps for Palestine refugees. More than 2 million registered Palestine refugees live in Jordan, the largest number of Palestine refugees in all UNRWA fields.
