A Jewish rabbi was arrested and charged with child sexual abuse related charges after raping several underage children, according to court proceedings in the United Kingdom.
Now, the Jewish rabbi from Manchester, has been on the run, sparking a police search.
Rabbi Todros Grynhaus is wanted by police investigating allegations of sexual abuse in the Jewish community in Manchester.
He was charged with indecent assault and sexual assault against children late last year. More than one child was abused, police said.
Police put out an alert when it was discovered that Gryhaus, 48, had disappeared from his home in Salford, thereby breaching the conditions of his bail.
Employees at the small business run by the rabbi said that his whereabouts are unknown.
“I do not know when he’ll be back,” a spokesperson at FastPay, a debt collection agency, said.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson told the press that the rabbi did not stay in his designated address given during bail, thereby breaching his bail conditions.
Inquiries are ongoing to establish his whereabouts.
According to some reports, the rabbi fled to Israel with a false passport.
