We know, we know — you’re sick of “Somebody That I Used to Know” parodies by now. But trust us — this one is different. Coming from The NOC, a sports and entertainment YouTube channel, an emotive hipster dude gets melancholy and poetic over New York Knicks’ guard and breakout social media star Jeremy Lin‘s departure to the Houston Rockets as a free agent.

The viral song covers all the bases: shooting a jumper “right in Kobe’s eye,” reviled Knicks owner James Dolan (“I wish he would paaay you bro”) and the Knicks’ recent futulity (“Haven’t seen a final since Spreeewell played”). Well played, The NOC, well played.
