Japan earthquake and tsunami anniversary: The story of Rikuzentakata

He looked on helplessly as his house was swept away.

Over 80 people were stranded on the hill where they built a campfire to help
them through the cold winter night.

After 24 hours, they were able to climb down to safety and into a shelter
house.

Mr Fumiaki now dedicates all of his time to the on-going voluntary project to
get Rikuzentakata back on its feet.
