Tehran, February 23, The Iran Project – Following the talks between Renewable Energy Organization of Iran and Italian company of Finergy, Italian side agreed to construct three solar power plants with the total capacity of 10 megawatts in three Iranian cities.
During a joint meeting between the visiting officials of Italian Company of Finergy and the officials of Iran’s Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energy Organization of Iran on Tuesday, Italians voiced readiness to construct three solar power plants in Kerman, Yazd and Shiraz.
The ways for investment, mechanisms of acquiring the needed permission and the initial stages of the project were among issues discussed by the Italian and Iranian officials during the talks.
Iranian renewable energy company also demands Italian company’s cooperation in the area of plasma technology and biomass, considering the firm’s past experience in the fields.
Earlier in November, Iran’s Electricity Distribution Company and a major German holding also had finalized the deal to construct a new 1250-megawatt solar power plant in Tehran as well as in Mallard Karaj, Kahrizak and Varamin.
