FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Organizers said about 200,000 people have turned out for the march through central Rome on Saturday.
The protesters demanded lower taxes for workers and retired people, more resources dedicated to solve unemployment and more efforts by the government to catch tax evaders.
The demonstration was organized by the country’s major unions.
Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti has introduced a raft of austerity measures since taking the helm of the government in November.
On Friday, the government adopted a series of new measures, planning to cut billions of dollars in public spending.
Italy is struggling with a public debt equal to around 120 percent of its gross domestic product, one of the highest levels in the eurozone.
Unemployment also jumped in April to a new record of 10.2 percent.
