Congressman Darrell Issa asserts that the documents that prove the White House’s involvement in Fast and Furious (FF) must be shielded Obama’s cover of executive privilege. In the documents provided to Congress from the Department of Justice (DoJ) do not show any link to Obama, a cover-up and the botched operation that led to thousands of guns being handed to Mexican drug cartels by US intelligence agents.

DoJ’s Attorney General Eric Holder was found to be in contempt of Congress for failing to cooperate with the House Oversight Committee (HOC) congressional inquiry into FF.

In the background Holder and Obama have been discussing how to handle the FF scandal. Choosing to hide under the cover of the president’s right to executive privilege has only stood to fuel questions about Obama’s participation, knowledge and role in the operation.

In a letter to Obama, Holder advised the President to use executive privilege to protect internal documents on FF that would “have significant, damaging consequences.”

Holder went on to explain that handing over the documents to Congress “would inhibit candor of such Executive Branch deliberations in the future and significantly impair the Executive Branch’s ability to respond independently and effectively to congressional oversight.”

Wayne LaPierre, head of the National Rifle Association (NRA) insists that although Obama has not overtly tried in the last 4 years to invalidate the 2nd Amendment, during his second term he “will start confiscating guns with no fear of retribution from voters”.

The FF connection: An attempt by the US government to create a problem by arming Mexican drug cartels which can later be used to justify the confiscation of American arms in the name of national security.

Issa explains to Fox News that “very clearly . . . they made a crisis and they’re using this crisis to somehow take away or limit people’s 2nd Amendment rights.”

Not much media attention is being given to the Small Arms Treaty (SAT) that is the US government’s version of the UN’s International Arms Control Treaty (IACT).

This is a global scheme dreamed up by the UN, as a way to combat terrorism, insurgents and international criminals, this document endeavors to secure the world’s citizens cannot defend themselves.

The IACT will empower the UN to literally force the US government to:

• Enact internationally agreed licensing requirements for Americans
• Confiscate and destroy unauthorized firearms of Americans while allowing the US government to keep theirs
• Ban trade, sale and private ownership of semi-automatic guns
• Create and mandate an international registry to organize an encompassing gun confiscation in America

Despite objections from several Senators, the NRA and pro-gun advocates, the Obama administration is pushing for the ratification of SAT. A final version of the treaty will be drafted by 2013.

While the drama of FF continues, Holder, who assisted in freeing FALN terrorists with former President Clinton has no plans on incriminating himself for having leaked national security information. And he is fully supported by the Obama administration in this debacle.
