Israeli plane violates Lebanon airspace

According to a Lebanese Army statement, the Israeli aircraft entered Lebanon over the town of Kfar Kila at 1:10 a.m. local time on Monday (2310 GMT on Sunday).

The plane left the Lebanese aerial territory over the town of Naqoura at 2:05 a.m. local time (0005 GMT).

Israel violates Lebanon’s airspace on an almost daily basis.

In 2009, Lebanon filed a complaint with the United Nations, presenting over 7,000 documents pertaining to Israeli violation of Lebanese territory.

UN Security Council Resolution 1701 calls on Israel to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
