Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces shot, kidnaped Palestinian over an alleged stabbing attack north of Tel-Aviv.
After reports about an alleged stabbing attack, Israeli occupation police set up checkpoints on the main roads leading into and out of the city of Ra’nana in north Tel-Aviv.
Israeli Police Spokesperson Luba al-Samri said that the 20-year-old Palestinian was “arrested” after stabbing and seriously injuring an Israeli man. Two others were claimed to have suffered light injuries.
Witnesses said that it was not clear whether the Palestinian, who was shot and kidnapped, carried out the stabbing. “It might be a criminal attack carried out by an Israeli citizen,” Israeli Yossi Landau said.
The incident came a day after Israeli forces killed three Palestinians and injured dozens others amid tensions in the occupied West Bank and the blockaded Gaza Strip.
On Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces executed the 15-year-old Abdullah Nasasra at the Huwwara Military Cehckpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus, accusing the teenager of attempting to stab an Israeli soldier.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has voiced concerns over the excessive use of force and “extrajudicial killing” of Palestinians by Israeli forces.
OCHA says that circumstances surrounding several of the Palestinian deaths over the past weeks remain disputed, hinting that most of Israeli narratives about the killing incidents were likely untrue.
Tension in the Palestinian territories started in the beginning of October after months of continuous Israeli aggression against Palestinians and violations against Palestinian facilities and holy sites.
An arson attack carried out by extremist Israeli Jewish settlers against a Palestinian family in the West Bank city of Nablus, which left parents and little baby burnt to death and another little boy is still in hospital, triggered the flames of tension.
Since then, more than 130 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli forces and thousands others were wounded.
