Extremist Israeli Jewish MK Oren Hazan insulted on Monday Palestinian mothers during their way to visit their prisoners inside Israeli prisons.
Hazan stopped and boarded the bus of the Palestinian mothers after it had crossed the Israeli Erez Crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip.
The extremist Israeli MK asked one of the mothers about her way and when she said she was going to visit her son inside the Israeli prisons, he said: “Your son is an insect.”
When the mother was shocked with his insult, she asked: “Do you call my son an insect?” Hazan replied: “Yes, he is an insect and he is a dog.”
Screaming at his dirty face, the mother said: “My son is the best of men.” Then, he said: “He is a dog.” She replied with a loud voice: “A dog is whoever calls him [her son] a dog.”
Hazan posted a video showing him ‘carrying out the mission’ on social media and he received hundreds of replies, accusing him of being a “Nazi” over his bad treatment with the mothers of the Palestinian prisoners.
Joe Hamilton, a Twitter user, accused him and his fellow Israeli occupiers as “Nazis.” He wrote: “These psychos are today’s Nazis.”
Marian Khalaf, another Twitter user, wrote: “This hateful low life Nazi represents the reality of the mafia gang in the Knesset.”
According to Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer, there are currently some 6,154 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails.
About 450 of them are held without charge or trial on “secret evidence.”
In response to Hazan’s actions, Hamas said it organised an act of solidarity with the families upon their return, sharing photos of the parents receiving roses.
A member of Hamas’ political bureau, Fathi Hammad, condemned the “Zionist aggression,” according to a statement.
“He [Hammad] stressed the pride of the Palestinian people in their prisoners, who spent the years of their lives in the occupation’s prisons, in the name of Palestine’s freedom.”
