Spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Ashraf al-Qidra said that the Israeli occuaption wounded 22 Palestinian protesters along the eastern borders of Gaza Strip.
He said that 16 of the wounded protesters sustained “moderate” injuries and needed extended medical treatment in hospitals.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) reported that 12 Palestinian were shot and wounded during protests in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
The PRC and Al-Qidra also reported tens of other Palestinian protesters suffered suffocation problems due to the heavy tear gas the Israeli occupation forces shot at them.
Palestinians have been staging Friday demonstrations since 6 December 2017, when the US President Donald Trump recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
UN officials have pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces have been using lethal force to deter these protests, even though the demonstrators are on the Palestinian side of the border.
