Israeli airstrikes injure four in Gaza

The attacks were carried out during early hours of Thursday.

Israeli officials claimed the airstrikes were conducted in response to a “rocket attack” on Israel from Gaza.

The Tel Aviv regime frequently carries out air and ground attacks against the impoverished Palestinian territory of Gaza.

On February 11, Israeli warplanes launched four airstrikes against Gaza, killing a Palestinian civilian and injuring several others.

A Palestinian man was killed in an attack by an Israeli tank in the Bureij town in eastern Gaza in mid-December 2011.

More than 1,400 Palestinians were also killed during the December 2008-January 2009 war the Israeli regime imposed against the Gaza Strip.

Palestinians still live in what is known to be the “world’s largest open-air prison” as the Tel Aviv regime exercises full control over the airspace, territorial waters and border crossings of the blockaded sliver.
