‘Israel’ arrests 8 Palestinians in West Bank

Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces arrested on Sunday night eight Palestinians across the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian sources said two Palestinians were arrested from Nablus, one from Qalqilia, four from Bethlehem, and one from Al-Khalil.

One of the Palestinians was held at an Israeli checkpoint at the entrance of Qalqilia, handcuffed, chain-legged and was turned to an unknown place via an armoured military vehicle.

A spokeswoman of the Israeli occupation army recognised the arrest of seven Palestinians from their homes during the night, but did not recognise the one humiliated at the checkpoint before he was arrested.

She said that the seven Palestinians were arrested over “illegal activities” and committing violence against Israeli Jewish settlers and troops.

Israeli occupation forces routinely storm Palestinian villages and cities, break into homes throughout the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, often on the pretext of perceived security threats, and arrest Palestinian civilians over what they call “illegal activities.”
