According to IRIB World Service, citing Reuter’s news agency on Monday, the Syrian president in an interview with the US-based CBS Network, said upon the start of US-led coalition’s air raids on the positions of ISIL terrorist outfit in Syria and Iraq, this terrorist group has in fact gained further ground and has surged the number of its operatives
The Syrian president cited a number of reports as saying that ISIL recruits a thousand new members every month and in addition to Iraq and Syria, it has been further empowered in countries such as Libya.
Last week, the Syrian president, in a meeting with the Iraqi Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Jafari, in Damascus, emphasized formation of a united front with Baghdad in the campaign against terrorism, while the two countries are fighting ISIL operatives in their countries.
