“It is important that more and more people come to Gaza so that they go away with the awareness what is happening and this excruciating siege on the Palestinian people,” the delegation organizer, Treasa Ni Cheannabhain, told Press TV.
The 15-member delegation is set to assess the humanitarian situation in the territory. They will also visit hospitals, schools and charitable organizations.
The group also visited areas destroyed during the Israeli war.
Delegation members say that their visit aims to break the ongoing Israeli blockade and highlight the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.
The delegation has been fundraising for several months to purchase medicines for patients in Gaza. The aid includes drugs for cancer and kidney failure patients.
Earlier this week, a four-year-old Palestinian girl and a five-month-old baby died in the Gaza Strip due to power shortages caused by Israel’s five-year-long illegal siege.
