Iran’s deputy FM in Lebanon to examine regional, int’l developments

Beirut, June 27, IRNA – Visiting Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Jaberi Ansari on Monday held talks with the Lebanese top officials on regional and international issues.

Jaberi Ansari arrived in Beirut on Monday morning and met with Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam and the Foreign Minister of Lebanon Gebran Bassil.

This is the first visit of Jaberi Ansari to Lebanon as Iran’s deputy foreign minister.

Jaberi Ansari discussed latest regional and latest developments in Syria and fighting terrorism as well as mutual ties between Tehran and Beirut with the top Lebanese officials.

He is expected to meet with the Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri during his visit to this Mediterranean country.
