Iranian artist tops TIFF poster contest

Abbas-Ghorbani’s design won the award after competing with a large number of entries received from different countries.

Born in 1989, Abbas-Ghorbani has participated in several international festivals such as the 2011 Death with a Smile international poster festival in Mexico.

This year’s Tiburon International Film Festival (TIFF) will also screen Here Without Me, directed by renowned Iranian filmmaker Bahram Tavakkoli.

The annual film festival seeks to provide a greater understanding of the world and its many cultures through the artistic medium of film, and through the top quality films from around the world.

The 11th edition of the festival is slated to be held from April 19 to 27 in Tiburon, California.
