He stressed that the Iranian nation will emerge victorious in the wake of the sanctions as the bans will hit the West harder than they will the Islamic Republic.
“The oppressive powers are ignorant of the important fact that the driving engine of the Islamic Republic has been ignited with the blood of its martyrs and is now running,” he added.
Last week, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Iran has been inured to any form of sanctions.
“These days Westerners have been creating hype about the sanctions against Iran but they do not understand that they themselves have vaccinated the Iranian nation against any sanctions with the bans imposed in the past 30 years,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The United States and the European Union have recently expanded and intensified their sanctions on the Islamic Republic to include the oil and banking sectors. The West accuses Tehran of possibly pursuing a military nuclear program.
Tehran refutes the allegation, noting that frequent inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency have never found any evidence of diversion in Iran’s nuclear energy program toward military purposes.
